The Near Northside Partners Council (NNPC), a community-based organization, was formed in 1989 by a group of neighborhood residents and professionals seeking to address the lack of health services for children. NNPC incorporated as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization in 1996 with a focus of comprehensive community development.  

VISION

NNPC is working to build a community that "works" for its residents-especially its youth.  We envision a community where economic opportunity abound, social services are effectively provided to met the needs of residents, and young adults have the confidence that they can own homes and raise families with economic security.

• Established School-Based Health Center at Rufino Mendoza Elementary School.
  

• Secured $1.2 Million for NNPC in Model Block Funding.
  

• Selected one of five national sites for Neighborhood Job Initiative.
  

• Developed a unique program, Latino Stars, to connect high school students to world technology.
  

• Trained foreign trained nurses to enter the medical field.  This also helped to enroll students in medical schools.
  

• Established a computer lab for community and residents use.
